in this chalk drawing, the idea was to try to convey the idea of 3-D shapes using different shades of black, white, and grey. The white spaces were left white while the rest was colored starting with the lightest grey. The value of colors helped portray the idea that these are 3-D objects. Certain places, such as the shine spots, were left white to show the light shining on the objects.

This is my completed line drawing of leaves. The mediums are pencil and paper. In this, there is both negative and positive space with the shading. It mainly focuses on the basic shapes of the leaves while still being understandable by the audience. There is the illusion of a 3-D space with layers and shading. The goal of this was to have darker lines bring some forward, begin some light shading. And be able to draw from a source photo.
In this drawing, I used pencil to create squares and triangles that twisted. The goal was to try and make the shapes with straight lines. In order to do this, the hand must rest and pivot on the pinky finger. By keeping it more relaxed and making swift movements, a straight line can be made.
